Local Warehouse Storage in Ventura County
Sealed vaults inside our warehouse, for a few days or a few years.
Why customers trust BEST MOVE
Storage is what makes the awkward moves possible: escrow closes two weeks apart, the assisted-living apartment is smaller than the house, the remodel runs long, the buyer wants the place empty before you have somewhere to put things.
Your belongings go into wooden vault containers, the vaults are sealed and stored inside our warehouse, and they stay there for a few days or a few years. This is not a drive-up unit on a lot — it is inside a building, and the same company that moved you is the one holding it.
How warehouse vault storage works
- Wooden vault containers, sealed and inventoried by vault
- Stored inside our warehouse — not a drive-up exterior unit
- Self-load option: bring your own goods and pack the vault yourself
- Full-service option: our crew packs, picks up, loads the vault and stores it
- Furniture stays pad-wrapped inside the vault the entire time
- Redelivery to your new address by the same company that stored it
- Short-term escrow gaps through multi-year storage
- Partial retrieval by arrangement when you need something specific back
Step by step
How it actually goes
-
We work out how many vaults
We size it from the rooms and what is actually in them, then tell you the vault count before you commit to anything. Getting that right up front is what makes the monthly number predictable instead of a surprise.
-
Load the vault — yours or ours
Either you load it yourself at the warehouse, or the crew wraps and loads everything at your house and brings it in.
-
Sealed and stored inside
The vault is closed, sealed and placed in the warehouse. Furniture stays pad-wrapped inside it, which is why things come out looking the way they went in.
-
Out when you are ready
Give us the date and the address and the same company redelivers and places it. No re-hiring, no re-quoting, no coordinating two vendors.
Questions
Local Warehouse Storage questions we get asked
Not the one you needed? The full FAQ covers pricing, moving day and what we will and will not move — or just call and ask.
How is this different from a self-storage unit?
Your goods are in sealed vaults inside our warehouse rather than in a drive-up unit you access yourself. That means better protection from weather, dust and temperature swings — and the movers who wrapped your furniture are the ones storing it. The trade-off is that you cannot drop in unannounced; retrieval is by arrangement.
What is the shortest I can store?
A few days. Escrow gaps are one of the most common reasons people use it — the buyers take possession Friday and your new place is not ready until the following week.
Can I get something out of storage mid-term?
Yes, by arrangement. Because goods are stored in sealed vaults we need notice to bring your vault down and open it, so call ahead rather than driving over.
Can I load the vault myself?
Yes. Self-load is the lower-cost option — you bring your household goods and pack the vault yourself. Or we can do the whole thing, pickup and loading included.
Is my furniture protected while it sits there?
It stays pad-wrapped inside the sealed vault for the whole term. Ask about valuation coverage when you book — what is included and what can be added should be clear before your goods are in the building.
What should never go into storage?
Food, plants, anything perishable, flammables and aerosols. Take documents, jewelry and medication with you rather than sealing them into a vault you cannot casually open.
